Wow Days!
Wow Days are one off sessions which celebrate a new theme or topic. They offer a range of different activities to fully immerse children in their new learning. All sessions will allow children to explore their subject in the natural outdoor environment.
Examples of Wow Days could be:
World War Two - creating a world war two hospital complete with special effect wound creation, soldier boot camp, making a wartime shop to go with ration books and war time cooking.
The Mayans - exploring the Mayans love of chocolate with campfire cooking, processing clay and making Mayan crockery and woodland jewellery. Treasure trail using the Mayan alphabet.
Sustainability - making bees wax wraps as an alternative to cling film, making healing balm out of foraged plants and bees wax, foraging and sustainable food, composting and recycling workshops.
Apple Day - A celebration of Herefordshire’s relationship with the wonderful apple! Traditional apple pressing, campfire apple cake, apple toasting, spooky shrunken apple heads for halloween, apple identification and apple bobbing!
Natural Art - Extracting natural pigments from plants, making paints, making charcoal, tie dye and creating land art.
